Beth is thrilled to join The Mountain School full-time as the first grade teacher. Compassionate and patient, she believes in nurturing curiosity and building confidence in her students, all while providing a structured and enriching learning environment. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Beth brings a diverse teaching background to her classroom, including co-teaching first grade, teaching third grade, and working in a variety of early childhood settings including Stratton Mountain Child Care. With her oldest now off to college and her youngest starting middle school, Beth is excited to return to the classroom and share her passion for teaching with her students.
Beth lives in East Dorset with her husband, their three children, and two dogs. Stratton has long been home for her family, who moved to the area full-time in 2019. Her husband works part-time as a ski patroller at Stratton, and skiing together as a family is one of Beth's favorite ways to spend time in the winter. Originally from New York, she continues to spend her summers on Long Island with extended family, soaking up beach days and time on the water. In her free time, Beth loves reading and cooking, along with spending time outdoors exploring new places with her family.
