Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees of the Mountain School at Winhall works independently and with the school’s constituencies to establish policies in accordance with the school’s mission. The Board comprises individuals who generously donate their time to The Mountain School at Winhall. They are key to the school's health and overall long-range success. The Board is responsible for the ultimate financial oversight of the school and adapts financial policies, approves the annual budget, and sets tuition. The Board of Trustees also participates in developing and approving the school’s long-range strategic plan.
The Board of Trustees’ sole employee is the Head of School. The Board evaluates the Head of School and sets the policies within which the Head of School will operate the school. The Board of Trustees does not involve itself in the day-to-day operation of the school unless asked to do so by the Head of School.
