Back to School Night at The Mountain School at Winhall
Join us as we kick off a new school year! Back-to-School Night is an excellent opportunity for families to visit the school, meet their child’s teachers, and connect with other parents and caregivers. You’ll receive a warm welcome from the Head of School and have the opportunity to visit classrooms and ask questions as we prepare for the first day of school tomorrow.

We can’t wait to welcome students back for the first day of school! Morning drop-off is from 8:20 to 8:40 a.m. All families are invited to join us for our Kickoff Community Gathering at 8:45 am to start the year together. Afternoon pick-up runs from 3:20 to 3:40 pm. Please be prompt at both drop-off and pick-up times.

Our After-School Programs kick off today! Offered approximately four days a week (Monday through Thursday), these programs provide a variety of engaging activities for students.
It’s an excellent way for children to explore new interests, spend time with friends, and enjoy time after the school day in a safe and supportive environment.

Join us for a fun evening on campus with a family-friendly movie shown outdoors under the stars. Bring blankets, chairs, and your favorite movie snacks. All MSW families are welcome. We look forward to a cozy night together!

5th & 6th Grade KEEC Trip
Our 5th and 6th-graders head to Keewaydin Environmental Education Center (KEEC) for this exceptional overnight experience. A long-standing tradition, the trip provides students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the outdoors, foster friendships, and strengthen their sense of community.

Join us for an evening of fun and community at the Hallett family’s barn! All MSW families are invited to this all-school square dance and potluck. Bring a dish to share and get ready to dance, no experience needed. It’s an excellent way to connect with fellow families and celebrate the season together.

Bring the whole family for one of our favorite school events of the year! The Fall Festival & Fun Run is a joyful day filled with community spirit, outdoor fun, and activities for all ages — plus the Fun Run itself. Proceeds support MSW programs and the student experience. We hope to see you there!

Our 4th–to 6th–grade students will participate in the school’s time-honored tradition of helping to care for Vermont’s Long Trail. This hands-on experience fosters stewardship and a love of the outdoors as students contribute to maintaining this historic trail.

Field Day is a fun-filled afternoon of outdoor games and activities for the entire school. Students will spend the day outside celebrating the end of the school year with their classmates. Families are welcome to join in the fun!
6th Grade Graduation
6th Grade Graduation & Generations Project Showcase
Join us as we celebrate our graduating 6th-grade class! This special ceremony honors their achievements and marks their transition to the next chapter. Following graduation, families are invited to view the Generations Project, a culminating student project displayed in a museum-style format, and to stay for a community potluck.
