Thank you so much for your interest in The Mountain School at Winhall. We believe that education is the second most important influence in a child's life after their family...and we strive to be just like a second family for our children as well. The faculty at MSW is dedicated to supporting the whole child--academically, emotionally, and socially. We are proud to offer a progressive, creative, interdisciplinary, thematic and independent education for all of our students.

A sound early education is also vital to your child's present and future academic success. MSW is proud to offer a comprehensive, caring, and safe environment for early learners. To be able to attend pre-kindergarten, students must be 4 years of age by October 31 of that academic year. Students additionally must meet other developmental standards (i.e. potty training, etc.). Prospective students will be given a short, low-impact test before an admissions decision is made.

The Admissions Packet for Pre-Kindergartners is attached. All students must go through the admissions process. Typically, admissions decisions for Pre-K students are made after April 15 for the following academic year. The admissions packet has been attached. Please contact the office at (802) 297-2662 should you have questions or need additional assistance. We honor and value your interest in MSW, and hope that we can work together to make your child's educational experience...Beyond the Ordinary.
