The Board of Trustees is in the early stages of long-range planning. Long-range planning includes:
1. Strategic Planning: MSW will create a plan for the next five years. A plan, once complete, will be made available to the school community for review.
2. Accreditation: MSW will soon begin the process for accreditation through the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). MSW has five years to complete the process and, should we succeed, will be accredited for 10 years. A "Self-Study" must be completed every 10 years to retain accreditation.
3. Forum for the Future: The MSW leadership (Board and Head) are constantly looking for ways to maintain competitiveness and sustainability for the "Next Generation"--that is, the next 10 years. On May 21, 2008, the leadership presented the attached presentation regarding guiding factors, plans, and needs to accomplish thes goals.
If you are interested in assisting the Board in planning, please provide them with areas of expertise and reasons for interest so they may best assign you to a productive committee. Thank you for helping MSW be Beyond the Ordinary!
