The Mountain School at Winhall Board of Trustees are appointed to be the governing body of The Mountain School at Winhall, and are made up of both local and other residents. Members have varying professional experiences that benefit a school community, including arts and humanities, education, development, healthcare, legal, and sales. MSW follows the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) guidelines for governance. Their main purposes are to: 1) establish policy concerning the operation and development of the school, 2) evaluate the Head of School, and 3) promote
the school through public relations, grants, and fundraising. The Board is in not responsible for the management of the school. All decisions regarding students, personnel, programs and procedures should be directed to the Head of School.
