We recognize that while excellence costs money, it can be difficult for families to afford tuition at an independent school. A core principle of The Mountain School is that every child should have access to a great education. For that reason, The Mountain School at Winhall does offer families the opportunity to apply for financial assistance for students in Kindergarten-8th Grade. Using the FAST (Financial Aid for Student Tuition) system powered by Independent School Management (ISM) as its standard, families can apply for financial aid with MSW. (There is currently no financial aid available for Pre-Kindergarten students. MSW is 5 STARS-approved by the Vermont Department of Education. Monies may be available with your town of residence. Contact your local school board for more information).
If you feel that your family needs financial aid, here or on the logo below. Financial aid applications are due by April 15 (or as soon as possible) for the following academic year. In most cases, no financial aid will be awarded after September 15 for that academic year. All families must be able to commit a minimium of $2,500 per child out of their own pocket in order to attend, unless a town voucher exceeds the amount of difference between tuition and the $2,500. Please call at any time for assistance in completing the application.
