Students at The Mountain School are involved in many athletic activities throughout the year, whether it is an interscholastic sport or an after school activity.
School Mascot
MSW's mascot is "The Wildcats." The school colors are green, yellow, and white. Be sure to show your school pride by wearing school colors at MSW games and events!
Interscholastic Sports
Students typically play soccer (Pre-Kindergarten-8th grade, Co-Ed), basketball (5-8, Boys or Girls), and golf (Co-Ed). 2010-11 possible team sports include baseball and tennis.
Junior Instructional Ski Program (JISP)
Each Winter, students in grades Pre-K-8 are provided a Stratton Mountain Ski Pass for a special school rate (2010 was $35). Each Tuesday afternoon in January-March, students leave school at noon to receive instruction in small groups in either skiing or snowboarding for the remainder of the school day.
After School Activities/Club Teams
Students are provided many other opportunities during the school year as well. Tennis, golf, baseball, swimming and more have all been offered as additional sporting activities for students. The national "Girls on the Run" and "Girls on Track" programs began in 2010.
Stratton Partnership
Through the generosity of Stratton Corp., MSW students have great opportunities to work with golf and tennis pro's at Stratton's world-class facilities
for a few dollars per week. Our students enjoy this time each spring!
