Welcome to our third and fourth grade class at The Mountain School. We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us!
I have lived in Winhall since 1993 with my husband, Jim. We have two boys, Casey a junior at BBA and Dusty, a sophmore at Castleton State College in Castleton, VT.
I have a degree in Elementary Education from Castleton State College. I am licensed for K-6 with Highly Qualified Teacher status in Elementary Education and Reading and Language Arts, K-6. This will be my sixth year teaching at The Mountain School and I consider myself very fortunate to be among such a professional faculty.
This summer I spent a week in Shepardstown, West Virginia at the National Conservation Training Center earning five credits in writing curriculum for Service Learning and Place-Based Education on the Appalachian Trail. This fall, Mrs Thompson and I will be developing an after-school hiking club for students in fourth, fifth, and sixth grades.
I have included some information that may help answer some of your questions about our classroom on the Notes link above.
I know we are going to have great year!
